Shampooing

We only recommend shampooing your hair with your Great Lengths shampoo, at least once per week. Be mindful of your extensions and gently massage the shampoo around the attachment of your extensions before rinsing off. 

Cleansing

Conditioning is an essential part of your Great Lengths hair care routine. We only recommend conditioning your hair with your Great Lengths conditioner, at least once per week after every wash. Apply a generous amount of the product to the ends of your hair and leave for 1 minute before rinsing.

Mask- Hydrating 

Add extra hydration to your hair using our high-performance hair mask.

Apply a generous amount to the mid length to ends of your hair and leave on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing. This treatment can be used once per week to help strengthen your hair.

Brushing

We only recommend brushing your hair with a Great Lengths brush, our brushes are specially designed with soft bristles at different lengths to allow you to comfortably brush over your extensions.

After shampooing and conditioning your hair, take small sections of the hair and brush from the scalp to the mid lengths, being careful to gently tease out any tangles from the bottom lengths first. Please be mindful that your Great Lengths extensions are made of real hair, so some tangling is normal.

Blow-drying and Styling

We always recommend sectioning your hair and spritzing all over with our heat and care spray before blow drying your extensions on a low heat. 

Avoid angling your hairdryer at the top of your keratin bonds or tape application. Take small sections and use your Great Lengths brush to smooth over each section whilst drying. 

In the event of not wanting to blow dry the hair after cleansing, we suggest drying the root area where the keratin bonds and tapes are.

You can style your Great Lengths extensions, as you would do your own hair using straighteners, curling wands and rollers. When using heated tools, be mindful to avoid putting any heat directly onto the keratin bond or tape application. 

Finally, to complete your look, nourish your extensions by adding a small pump of the Great Lengths serum to the ends of your hair after every wash and when required for instant rehydration
